60 seconds with... Mitch Sacks

Can you describe your role?
Head of panning for small cap value nuggets. Unearthing companies that can double in value in 18-24 months is both the most challenging and rewarding part of my job.

If you were down to your last $1,000, how would you invest it?
I would buy shares of BOFI Holdings. This bank is leading the transition from bricks and mortar to online banking. Its low-cost structure and conservative credit policies are yielding best-in-class results.

What would you do if you were in President Obama’s shoes?
I would eschew party politics and concentrate on creating jobs. America should focus on its strengths: natural resources and entrepreneurial spirit. To do this, he should limit government regulations and involvement in the economy and create a stable long-term tax framework that would allow businesses to make strategic plans unaffected by political whimsy.

Who would play you if they made a movie about your firm?
James Gandolfini.
