Law firm Dechert opens Frankfurt office
International law firm Dechert has opened an office Frankfurt with Achim Putz serving as managing partner, it said in a statement this week
As managing partner Putz, who joined Dechert in 2010, will be joined by Carsten Fischer and Benedikt Weiser who have been elected as partners in the firm’s financial services group.
Putz is a senior figure in the German alternative investment sector, said the statement, adding that with the addition of Fischer and Weiser the firm had ‘further strengthened [its] financial services group’.
“[It gives] us an even greater ability to cover all aspects of financial services and asset managed related matters,” said the statement.
“Germany has always been an important part of our strategy to serve our clients’ global need,” said Dechert CEO Daniel O’Donnell, adding that further recruitment in the financial services and corporate areas of the firm is expected soon.
The Frankfurt office is set to work closely with the 2004-opened Munich base, the statement added.
