BREAKING NEWS: Former Dahlman president to head up new Direct Access asset management unit

Direct Access Partners, the institutional-focused, multi-asset agency-only trading partner has launched a new asset management unit and hired former Dahlman Rose & Co president Donald Motschwiller to head it, HFMWeek can exclusively reveal.

In his new role Motschwiller’s will deploy seed and acceleration capital to emerging managers.

“We are ecstatic to welcome Donald to lead the asset management business and provide leadership and managerial expertise throughout the entire organization,” said Direct Access Partners CEO Ben Chinea.

“He possesses deep securities experience and relationships, proven leadership skills and a successful track record in executing growth and diversification strategies,” added the CEO.

“His experience, industry reputation and intimate understanding of trading technology and capital deployment will drive our effort to expand into new and exciting businesses,” said Chinea.
