PineBridge Investments appoints new non-executive chairman

Global asset management firm PineBridge Investments has appointed Evan Mervyn Davies, Lord Davies of Abersoch, as non-executive chairman.

Prior to the appointment, Lord Davies held the position of minister of State for Trade, Investment and Small Business in the Government of the United Kingdom, appointed jointly to the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

As part of this role, he will help drive the firm’s strategy to further strengthen its position as a leading global asset management firm.

“Lord Davies has considerable financial services experience and deep expertise in many of our core markets in Europe, the Middle East and Asia,” said Win J Neuger, CEO of PineBridge. “I am delighted that a business leader of such global prominence and stature has decided to join the firm as we take our next steps as a newly independent entity.”
