CQS plans first UK fund listing

London-based hedge fund CQS has announced its intention to list the CQS Diversified Fund on the London Stock Exchange (LSE).

The firm has not yet confirmed a listing size but says that admission and commencement of dealings are likely to take place in December.

“The Company’s proposed listing on the LSE will provide investors with access to a differentiated convertible and credit-focused investment company which invests in a range of CQS-managed hedge funds,” said Michael Hintze, CEO and senior investment officer of CEO.

He continued: “We believe a multi-fund approach is well suited for this type of investment and should complement the existing choice that investors have in the listed funds sector.”

RBS Hoare Govett has been appointed as sole sponsor, book runner and broker. The news follows that of Brevan Howard, which last week announced its intentions to list a new credit fund on the London Stock Exchange in December.
