Cap intro climate
With the markets still shouldering the burden of uncertainty, hedge fund investors are currently taking a cautious approach. According to a number of cap intro teams questioned by HFMWeek, hedge fund investment - illustrated here by UBS research - has shifted back to basics, with more interest in traditional, lower volatility strategies, such as long/short equity. Pointing to investor sentiment in August, a UBS prime brokerage report said: "Investors want to ensure that they allocate to funds that have robust liquidity profile."
