Cadogan Management hires John Trammell as president

NEW YORK: The Former CEO of global fund of hedge fund firm Investor Select Advisors, John Trammell, has joined the $4.7bn FoHF firm Cadogan Management in the new role of president. Trammell will work alongside CEO Stuart Leaf.

In November last year, Fortis Investments, the ¤131bn asset management arm of Belgian-Dutch bank Fortis, acquired 70% of Cadogan, which is based in New York.

According to a statement from the firm, Trammell will help Cadogan increase the potential of the combined Cadogan/Fortis Investments brand on a global basis as well as playing a pivotal role in coordinating the business activities between the two.

“I’ll be coordinating and helping to facilitate the links between the operations, research and marketing teams at Cadogan, working with Stuart to manage a team of 38. We are also looking for some additional employees in all three areas and I’m sure the firm will grow its headcount appropriately over the next year.”

Trammell has also worked at Argonaut Capital Management as COO, helping to run a global macro hedge fund.
